carbamin 5745

NOx reduction for solid fuels

ERC carbamin 5745 is a liquid, water-soluble process additive for the reduction of NOx emissions in combustion plants according to the SNCR process. ERC carbamin 5745 is injected into the flue gas with an electronically controlled dosing system. The dosing takes place load-dependent and/or NOx dependent at temperatures from 850 to 1,080 °C. With the controlled injection of ERC carbamin 5745 into the combustion chamber, the nitrogen oxide (NOx) which has formed is converted into nitrogen, water, and carbon dioxide. The main reaction component of carbamin 5745 is urea in a 45 per cent aqueous solution. The urea solution is doped in order to effectively prevent undesired side reactions. ERC carbamin 5745 contains other additives which enable smooth operation of the dosing system, even with dilution with water which has not been softened. The function of the SNCR plant is guaranteed with higher efficiency over a wide load range.

Advantages of ERC carbamin 5745:

  • high nitrogen oxide reduction
  • minimal NH3 slip
  • no formation of sal ammoniac
  • wider optimal temperature range
  • protects the nozzles in case of admixture of water which has not been softened
  • minimised boiler contamination and corrosion
  • no contamination of flying ash
