The Effect

ERC Guard Kinetic was specially developed for combined heat and power units and other stationary engines that are operated with tax-favourable heating oil of any type instead of diesel. The exclusively formulated combination of active ingredients gives the heating oil the properties it lacks for effective and gentle operation in diesel engines. ERC Guard Kinetic is suitable for all types of heating oil with up to 20% organic content and improves the properties of standard diesel. The additivated heating oil is mainly used for combined heat and power plants, from macro and mini CHP units to future micro CHP units suitable for single-family homes.

The Result

ERC Guard Kinetic increases the cetane number. This means that the additive improves the ignitability of the heating oil, a key criterion for combustion quality. The consequences are smoother and quieter running, lower vibrations, a reduction in pollutant emissions and more engine power. A stabiliser slows down the natural ageing process of the heating oil and improves its storage life. In combination with the performance package contained in ERC Guard Kinetic, this has a positive effect on the technical condition of the system: Operating faults are minimised and the service life is maximised.
