The Effect
Frequent causes of reduced performance, uneven engine running and increased ex-haust emissions include: Soiled or stuck EGR valves and coked components in the intake and exhaust system. To avoid the impending damage and workshop visits, our 2-in-1 EGR and carburetor cleaner can be used.
The engine should be at operating temperature. With the engine running at about 2,000 rpm, spray the EGR cleaner into the intake manifold. Spray at intervals of 5 seconds followed by a spraying pause of 10 seconds. The EGR valve can also be cleaned by removing it and spraying the ERC EGR cleaner directly onto the valve.
